Eco-Data Officer

Essential criteria:

The successful candidate must:

• Have previous experience working in a data support role.

  
  

• Demonstrate a very high level of general computer literacy.

• Demonstrate understanding of databases and data storage.

• Display capability, flexibility & curiosity in researching & developing data-technical solutions for real world problems.

• Display evidence of competency in using Microsoft 365 and MS Office, particularly MS Excel.

• Demonstrate ability to clearly communicate technical terminology efficiently to the non- specialist.

• Have transport to and from Carron for the full duration of the contract, full clean driving licence etc.

• Ability to work independently as well as with others.

• Fluent in spoken and written English.

• Eligible to work in Ireland.

Desirable criteria:

• Experience using Claris Filemaker Pro/ SQL.

• Experience in GIS/ Remote Sensing.

• Fluency in spoken and written Irish.

• An Honours Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in an IT or computer-related subject or any other area that demonstrates relevant skills and experience.

• Two-years post-qualification experience.

• A basic knowledge and interest in Ireland’s agricultural systems, natural and cultural heritage.
